• To, From, and Description boxes can at present ask if you want to update the case for a previously entered detail as you're typing. Yous'll see the option when the menu of previously entered items is visible, but if you want to encounter it equally you're typing without the menu head to CheckBook Pro > Preferences… > Entry and put a checkmark next to Ask To Update To/From & Description Items near the bottom of the window.
• Notes are now part of Text and CSV exports.

Works Great! 1 minor issue…SOLVED!

Honey this app! Information technology works very well. I left Quicken because they at present require you to "subscribe" to their software and store your financial data in the deject. NOPE!! Have used Quicken for Mac since the day information technology came out. No more…already uninstalled it after starting to use this app. Was able to migrate all of my Quicken data to Checkbook Pro without an issue.

The only minor bug I would like to meet inverse, is when I am making a payment to a credit card, I would like it to be i entry, so it comes out of my checking business relationship and automatically applies to my credit card. Correct now, I accept to do two carve up entries…1 to show the debit from my checking business relationship and a second to show the payment practical to my credit bill of fare. Non a deal breaker for me though, only that was the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of a perfect v. UPDATE!! Thank you to support on this app, I found out how to make a 1 transaction transfer between accounts! :) Fantastic support and the one minor issue I had with the app is no longer an issue. Perfect 5 stars! Again, thanks to the app developer. I actually do recommend this app! :)

Nice job on the app! Fix that one, very minor, bug and I'll update to v stars. Thanks for a great app at a great price that allows me to shop MY data on MY calculator and that I don't accept to "subscribe" to! Please proceed it that way.

Here's how to transfer betwixt Accounts and then when you create an Entry a matching Entry in the other Account will be created for you: As you fill up in the details of an Entry and get to the To or From field, look but to the left of the field at the actual word "To" or "From" and y'all'll see a triangle next to it to tell you the give-and-take is also a push button with a bill of fare. Click the discussion "To" or "From" to reveal the carte, then click the "To Business relationship" or "From Account" menu item, and the To or From field will become a menu push button with the names of your other Accounts. I am moving my banking software from a very old MS Money program on a very old Gateway reckoner that my wife and children don't trust any more. Checkbook Pro is the closest I've constitute to the ease of data entry that i found with MS Money but it is nonetheless labor intensive and not piece of cake to teach to my non-technical spouse of 55 years. Our chief complaint is that navigation via the tab central is nor intuitive and requires some retraining. We were used to simply pressing the enter fundamental to move from item to detail and pressing enter closes out the entry. The other delay in entering data occurs when one has to enter more debits or deposits. Instead of simply opening some other class of the aforementioned type, one has to employ the mouse to select another form from the acme icons. A tertiary event is irresolute the date of a transaction - it would be dainty to simply employ the /- keys to increase or decrease the engagement of a transaction from the previous one instead of having to either physically alter the appointment or use the calendar via the mouse. Using the mouse delays data input and takes attention away from the bank or credit menu statements i is working from.

When you've finished creating or making changes to an Entry, you can ostend everything and create a new Deposit or Debit in one stroke with the buttons at the bottom left corner of the Entry sheet. They look like a small plus (+) or minus (-) with the Deposit and Debit colors set up in CheckBook Pro'due south Preferences. You tin can also get the same issue with the regular keyboard shortcuts for creating new Deposits and Debits, Command (⌘) + and Command (⌘) -. Perfect for what I demand for small biz, other apps and programs were just too much unnecessary extras I had no use for and quite frankly ridiculously priced.
A couple of things that would make this even better (for me). None are a huge deal merely would arrive even quicker for me. They would be 1. have the date default to the last appointment y'all entered. I enter my information every 10-fourteen days and accept to change the date every time. I'll usually accept several entries on the aforementioned date. 2. When you lot click the enter $ amount box, information technology should automatically highlight and delete/write over the $0.00 that is present in that location vs. having to manually highlight or backspace over this for an entry. 3. An audible *ding* would be overnice to know an entry was entered and saved. 4. When entering a debit, nether the "blazon" category information technology would exist prissy to have "electronic debit" added to the choices. I currently use "online payment" for electronic debit only the addition of the mentioned category would be helpful for me.
